Helping local people to build good careers

Mike Wood, Conservative MP for Kingswinford and South Staffordshire, has a plan to help local people into good jobs and apprenticeships.

When Mike was first elected as an MP, he promised that jobs and skills would be his top priority. Keeping true to his word, he has worked hard to improve the opportunities available to local people and will continue to do so for Kingswinford and South Staffordshire.

As part of his plan to bring new opportunities to the constituency, Mike will resume his annual job and skill fairs which have brought thousands of local jobseekers face-to-face with employers and training providers. He will also continue his apprenticeship and career fair which has helped a thousand local youths discover new career opportunities. Working with our local colleges, businesses, and firms, Mike is committed to helping people of all ages find the right employment.

Mike said: “I am dedicated to enhancing local opportunities in employment. By collaborating with stakeholders in the area, I aim to provide meaningful jobs and career pathways for our community members.”
