Mike Wood MP, the Conservative Candidate for Kingswinford and South Staffordshire met passionate farmers Neil and Vicky at their Pattingham farm.
Mr Wood learned about how much is required of farmers in the search for sustainable and regenerative farming, as well as some of the challenges involved in selling produce to dominant buyers.
Commenting on the visit he said “Every farm is different, but there are common issues facing many of our farmers in South Staffordshire, and listening to Neil and Vicky has been extremely useful in helping me to have better idea of some of the work being done to adapt practices to better support the environment while also making sure the farm is productive and profitable.
“Understanding the challenges faced by our farmers is crucial, as it sheds light on the obstacles they encounter in their hunt for more sustainable and regenerative methods.
“By becoming more aware of the specific challenges they face, helps me to understand the action needed to overcome these obstacles.”
