Because we left the EU, the UK is able to ban the live exports of animals for slaughter or fattening from the UK - something which many of us feel strongly about.
The Bill has passed the Commons, it is now going through the Lords, and it should then receive Royal Assent.
We are proud to have some of the highest animal welfare standards anywhere in the world; this Bill will strengthen our position even further.
