Hundreds of older residents from across Kingswinford and South Staffordshire have received help and advice from a range of organisations pulled together by Mike.
The event, which Mike organises every year, took place at the Richardson Hall in Wordsley and saw more than 20 organisations meeting face-to-face with older residents.
The likes of Waldrons Solicitors, HSBC bank, Citizens Advice, the Department for Work & Pensions, and others were on-hand to discuss financial, legal and welfare benefit advice.
Other organisations such as Dudley Council, South Staffordshire Council, Sgt Pepper's Friendship Club, Home Instead, Stiltz Homelifts, Wiltshire Farm Foods and others also offered support and information on the day.
Mike said:
“Once again, I’m grateful to all the organisations who accepted the invite to take part in my Older People’s Information Fair for this year.
“Getting the right information and support can be difficult for some older residents, and having the chance to speak face-to-face with a representative can help make a big difference for them.
“I’m really pleased that so many said they found the event useful once again.”
Joseph Norton of Waldrons Solicitors who sponsored the event said:
"We are proud to have sponsored this year’s Older People’s Information Fair, which brought together so many fantastic local organisations and social groups.
“We would like to thank the organisers, as well as everyone who attended and contributed to making it such a valuable resource for the community.
“It was wonderful to see the range of advice and support on offer. At Waldrons, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that make a positive difference to the lives of people in our local area."
